‘James Casey is Innocent’ at the Edinburgh Festival.

The Fair Trial Project is taking part in the online Edinburgh Fringe Festival. We have entered a documentary about the trial of James Casey (Prisoner Number 14704). The documentary is titled ‘James Casey is innocent. The judge’s misdirection.’.

  1. On the 7th of February 1991, a jury found James Casey guilty of murder. He was sentenced to life imprisonment and is still in jail today. There are many reasons James Casey did not get a fair trial. The documentary concentrates on just one of them. The judge made a crazy error made when instructing the jury. The judge destroyed James Casey’s defence by saying, in relation to his principal argument, that, ‘the logic of it escapes me…’
