Families of prisoners have contacted the Fair Trial Project.
I have been to HMP Barlinnie to meet and talk with two of them. One, James Casey (Prisoner Number 14704), has joined in the Fair Trial Project’s campaigns. Another prisoner is supportive, but wishes to remain anonymous for now. Other prisoners have been contacted and may join in with the campaigns.
James Casey is innocent. He has never had a fair trial and on top of all that he is an extremely intelligent and kind person. He has asked me to make complaints and raise actions against the whole Scottish legal profession. I and the Fair Trial Project will act as a conduit for Mr. Casey’s complaints.
The starting point is the Faculty of Advocates is a criminal organisation campaign. Advocates have failed to disclose their links to the judges. Correspondingly, the judges have failed to disclose their links to the advocates that appear in front of them.
Disclosure is necessary and a failure to disclose means that no one can get a fair trial (due to the possibility of subconscious bias).
Watch this space as more blogs on Mr. Casey’s complaints will be coming soon.
